So far being a dad:
Sounds like gentle cooing spiked with blood curdling screams.
Feels like the softest thing ever.
Smells like poop but not in a bad way.
Tastes like black coffee.
Waits is 4 days old. He is the cutest thing ever. He sleeps then cries then poops then eats.
Waits Rebhal was born today at 5:56am, 8lbs 2oz. He’s perfect and has a full head of dark hair as predicted.
She is in labor! We are going to meet in the next few hours.
37 weeks today! This was the goal we’ve been working for. From here out our focus changes from keeping him in to getting him out!
35 weeks today!! It’s getting more and more exciting. I will be a father within the next few weeks!!
I had no idea how scary having a kid would be. I think it’s going to get even scarier when he is here, when I could drop him or step on him or hurt him a trillion different ways. Not to mention the responsibility of raising him. What if he grows up to be an asshole?
Somehow, despite all that fear, this is the most uplifting and exciting thing that has ever happened to me. I can’t wait to get started.
I really hope I don’t drop him.
Had a dream last night that Waits came out with dark hair. Me and Say both had blonde hair when we were kids so I doubt it.
Just got a text from Sayward at the hospital saying Waits has hair! She just got a checkup and everything looks perfect. I am so proud of how well she is handling all of this. She is a champion baby grower!
